Paddlers’ Group

UCC Canoeists, Kayakers and Friends

We have organized monthly paddles for members and friends of our church.  We paddle quiet water locally and travel up to one hour away on some outings.

Members of this multi-generational group (ages 5-92) are linked because of their love of the outdoors and a willingness to share that love with others.  Some of our passengers are canine!  A picnic lunch and shared snacks are an important ritual of each outing.  Sometimes we even stop for ice cream on the way home. (Maybe we are really “foodies” that paddle.)

From April through October up to 20 boats have joined us on the water.  Many paddlers have extra gear to loan with advance notice and are always willing to share their expertise.  The “Commodore” can answer your inquiries.  Contact the church office for more information.
