iment is provided by our very accomplished professional pianist, Corbin Calloway Bolton. Her thoughtful gathering music helps us center ourselves for worship; her lively postludes often end with applause by many in the congregation who remain just to hear her play.

Handbell Choir
“Uniting People through a Musical Art”
First Church in Oxford was first introduced to “ringing” in 1993 when a hand chime choir was organized after the gift of a set of hand chimes in memory of Donald Prouty.
Our three-octave set of Malmark English Handbells was purchased in 2001 with gifts from three church families. This musical ministry has welcomed ringers from age 8 through senior adult; novice ringers play alongside our practiced ringers. While primarily a church-affiliated choir that plays monthly during worship, we have also performed at community events in Webster, Dudley, Charlton and Oxford. We are members of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR), which brings us opportunities to play in festivals and conferences throughout New England. “If you can count, you too can play.” Novice, experienced and interested persons are encouraged to learn more about the Handbell Choir.
